Amazing Slow Downer App Reviews

2 Customer Reviews:

Now that it exists, I can’t live without this app. Playing ones own music and studying the music of others has never been so easy. Near impossible musical parts are now quite managable, because of this apps looping and slow down capababilities! It’s difficult to put into words how grateful I am for this technology. Thank you!!

I use this app a lot with my Iphone, which the app allows me to use Spotify. I’m dissapointed I just spent $50 on an app I thought worked with Spotify.

Still the best for learning a tune

ASD still has the best if not the only usable set of command shortcuts and features for any audio program you might want to use to learn a tune. If you are playing your instrument the last thing you want is some app demanding that you use the mouse. I find that intolerable. ASD has a full set of key strokes to let you loop, rewind, play etc just by hitting a key or the spacebar. Auto speed-up for polishing a fiddle tune. ASD lets you adjust the pitch either by tiny increments (say an old recording was recorded sharp. It happens a lot.) or by half steps. Why do some programs leave out this feature that makes changing to another key so easy? Finally, you can take a loop that was moved to a new key and cleaned up with EQ and email a WAV file to a buddy who maybe does not have ASD. Maybe other programs have more eye appeal and look “refreshed” but they weren’t written by someone with a guitar (or mandolin) in their lap trying to get a song ready to sing with other people.

Desktop version needs refresh

I’ve been using this app for over a decade. It would be great to give the desktop version a refresh. The iOS app is much better, especially with the 1/2 and x2 loop feature. Also, it would be great to have a feature that allowed access to a dedicated iCloud Drive folder so that audio files and associated playlists stored there, could easily be shared among different devices.

DOES NOT WORK WITH SPOTIFY

Purchased this app on IOS because it worked with spotify and I purchased the desktop version assuming that it would also work with spotify and streaming and it does NOT. Disapointing

does not support Spotify

I love the app for my phone because it can play and slow down songs from my Spotify account playlists. App for mac does not connect to Spotify, so it's useless for me.

Terrible help manual

The help manual has extremely unintuitive and incomplete instructions.

Useless on Desktop

They need to update this app to be able to connect with Spotify like they do for the iPhone version. Makes no sense that they have you spend $50 and you get fewer features. I want a refund.

The App looks outdated

This might have been said before, but I'll say it again in case it was overlooked the first time. You all (Roni Music) have had major improvements over the years on the mobile app for iPhone/iPad with more features and a fresh new look. However, you seem to have forgotten about the desktop application as well. Not complaining about how it works (because it still does), but I feel like I'm taking more steps on the desktop app to do what I can effeciently do on the mobile app with a few clicks. I would like to have it where all my apps are the same or similar in look, features, navigation and even sync up via iCloud. I feel this is a reasonable request all things considered.

Worth it for This Student

This app lets me take recordings of proficient musicians playing difficult tunes at speed and slow them down so that I can practice getting all the inner rhythms right. Super useful. I recommend this app to all the Mac users in my band.

brilliant for transcribing

My favorite app I own, I’ve used it for years without issues. I use it on the computer and probably woudn’t like it on a ipad. The slowdown / looping features are super easy to use for transcribing and practicing. I don’t understand the negative reviews, I haven’t had an issue playing audio from my computer with this app ever. The description says it supports files on your computer — this means no streaming services like Spotify. A++ have bought it twice (it’s been around since before the app store)

I should have read the reviews first

The iPad app is awesome - this app is a waste of time. They need to upgrade it to connect to Spotify. Being able to play MP3s slowly isn’t that helpful.

Very Difficult to get music into the App

The iPhone/ipad app is amazing. This app is terrible. You can’t connect Spotify, can’t use 99% of my Itunes library. The only songs you can put into the app are ones you transfer from a CD. Kind of pointless since the laptop doesn’t even have a CD drive since 2008.

Compatibility with applications other than iTunes
